🌻 Something is Growing…

And now, weeks later, one of our church family kindly sent a photo of theirs beginning to grow. See below.

What a lovely reminder that faith often looks like this.

We plant.
We wait.
We trust.

Sometimes in our own lives—and sometimes in the life of the church—we can feel as though nothing is changing. We can become focused on what is missing, what feels uncertain, or what we wish looked different.

But faith allows us to hope in what we do not yet see. (Hebrews 11:1)

A seed beneath the soil does not look like much.
Yet hidden growth is still growth.

Perhaps God is doing the same in us, quietly, gently, faithfully.

In our hearts.
In our healing.
In our community.
In our church.

Now that the weather is warmer and the soil is warming too, sunflower seeds can be sown directly into the garden—or started first in a little pot indoors. So if you still have your sunflower seed, plant it.

Some traditions light a candle as a sign of prayer and hope.

Perhaps this can be ours—
a small act of trust:
to place a seed into the soil,
to water it,
and to give it time.

A quiet reminder that God is often working in hidden places,
and that something is growing,
even if we cannot yet see it.

Let’s see what grows.

“Something is growing, even if I can’t see it yet.”
