Afternoon Tea with Crawford Bell

Today’s afternoon tea with Country Music legend Crawford Bell was a great triumph for Christine and her team. Thank you for all your planning and hard work.

Everyone (including Crawford) really enjoyed the fun, food and chance to sing-a-long to some old old favourites.

Finally to everyone who came along, without you these events wouldn’t be a success, so thank you!

See below the pictures, and let them tell the story.

Tea with Country Gospel Legend CRAWFORD BELL

It is our delight to invite you along to an afternoon tea where we will be joined by the Country Gospel Music legend that is CRAWFORD BELL.

Making his mark on country music throughout Ireland for many decades, Crawford has graciously agreed to bring his love for music to Mossley on the afternoon of Saturday 23rd March 2019, at 2pm.

Tickets are FREE, however we do need to know numbers for catering purposes. So please contact us below with your name and number of tickets required. Places are limited, so please let us know ASAP. Alternatively you can acquire tickets at Mossley Methodist Church from Christine any Sunday morning.

Annual Church Dinner 2019

Another night to remember at Corrs Corner Hotel! Well done Colin and Christine for throwing such a great party.

It was a night of sailers, cowboys, scarecrows, kings and princesses … plus a couple of plods. See the gallery below for a little insight.

Tommy proved his music skills by defeating Alan (again) in their head to head. MOST surprisingly the usual suspects didn’t win the table quiz, and had to except a sorry second. GO The Scarecrows!!

Thanks to everyone who came and embraced the fun, wouldn’t have turned out the same without you. Here’s to next year!

WDR needs YOU!

Irish Methodist World Development & Relief is again encouraging people to take up the challenge of participating in one of the Belfast City Marathon events, this year on Sunday 5th May. As a one-off in the year, this is a great way to be ‘church on the streets’ as a witness to the crowd, as well as supporting the mission of our Methodist brothers and sisters in Ghana.

In 2019, all funds raised will support Wenchi Methodist Hospital, Ghana.

The hospital strives to offer good quality healthcare to over 200,000 in the region.

£43,000 / €52,000 has been raised by Methodist Church in Ireland over the last three years for its global mission work.

Participants can choose from: 3-mile walk/run, 8-mile walk, team relay, full marathon, wheelchair race.

Register by 28th February to get early bird rate (or up to 12th April at higher rate)

Not everyone is cheery at Christmas

Many in our our congregation and community are dealing with the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce or separation, coping with the loss of a job, living with cancer or some other illness that gives an uncertain future, and a number of other situations.

There is a growing awareness for the needs of people who are BLUE at CHRISTMAS. Come along this evening if you feel you are living through dark times, step into this sacred space, a service designed to help you accept where you really are, and offer the gift of healing and hope.
