Harvest Sunday: Come and Celebrate

Harvest is a lovely time to pause and notice how much we have been given. Bread on the table, fruit from the field, and the many ordinary gifts we so easily take for granted. Come and give thanks together, whether you worship with us every week or have not been in a while. You would be so very welcome.

You are warmly invited to join us for our Harvest service on Sunday 18th October at 10:30am, led by Rev Sam Campbell.

Our Harvest gifts this year: The Cithrah Foundation

Cithrah is a non-profit organisation supporting victims of domestic abuse and their families across the Mid-East Antrim area. Their drop-in centre offers counselling, advice and information from trained volunteers, as well as group work, and they also run a women’s refuge, a safe shelter for women and their children who have become homeless because of abuse. They are working towards the same kind of temporary shelter for men and their children, and meanwhile continue to support men through their other services. They also raise awareness through talks and conferences, and in May 2022 they were awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

At the heart of their work is a hope that there is always a pathway to recovery, helping people move from victim and survivor to thriver.

Harvest gift envelopes are available in the church foyer. Please take one on Sunday, or provide your own and bring your gift to the service.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
