This year more than ever, the value of giving and receiving Christmas cards is incredibly important. I have it on good authority from a local supermarket insider (thank you Colin) that this is evident in the rapid diminishment of stocks. So it seems that in these dark times the sentiment is running deeper possibly more than ever.
Sadly this year, how we give cards in our churches will have to change and the Rev Sam Campbell has asked that cards are not handed out within the church buildings. He said that “we have come so far, and it would be such a shame that a gesture of kindness resulted in an adverse effect because of it”
So please, with the desire of brightening up the homes of our fellowship and friends through this caring gesture, consider posting if at all possible.
