🥾TEN YEARS OF RAMBLING TOGETHER🥾

Mossley Methodist Ramblers – Celebrating a decade of footsteps, friendships, and faith.
Looking Back on an Incredible Journey

Can you believe it’s been ten years? What started as a simple idea has blossomed into something truly special – Mossley Methodist Ramblers has become so much more than just putting one foot in front of the other.
As we look through our photo gallery (below) spanning a whole decade, we see faces that have become family, landscapes that have lifted spirits, and memories made across some of Northern Ireland’s most beautiful locations. From fit pensioners to parents with buggies, grannies with kids on little bikes, extended family and friends – we’ve always been a wonderfully mixed bunch, and that’s exactly how we like it.

More Than Just a Ramble
While we’re formally run through the church, our rambles have always welcomed friends and extended family. Because when you discover something good – fresh air, beautiful scenery, great company, and God’s incredible creation all around us – you want to share it, don’t you?
What makes our rambles truly special is getting the opportunity to walk and explore the landscapes that generally we just pass by in our cars. Suddenly those hills in the distance become places we’ve actually climbed, those valleys become familiar friends, and those hidden gems become treasured memories.
Our rambles are healthy for mind, body, and soul. There’s something magical about:
Breathing in the fresh Northern Irish air as we explore our stunning local landscapes
Walking in conversation with new and old friends
• Finding peace in your own thoughts as you take in the beauty around you
Watching all ages discover the joy of being outdoors and active
Extending our community beyond the church walls
Deepening friendships one footstep at a time
Experiencing places instead of just driving past them
God is in it, and blesses it always.

Ten Years More Experienced
Here’s the wonderful thing – we’re all ten years more experienced now! The wisdom, life experience, and stories that our ramblers bring make every outing richer. Whether you joined us from day one or are thinking about joining today, there’s always something new to learn from one another as we explore together.

All Terrain, All Welcome
Our loops and linear rambles range from 3-7 miles across all sorts of terrain – from gentle strolls to more adventurous routes. Each ramble is carefully graded:
Easy – Perfect for families and those wanting a gentle introduction
Moderate – A bit more challenge but still very manageable
Moderate+ – For those wanting to stretch their legs and lungs a bit further
The key is knowing what suits you on any given day, and there’s absolutely no pressure. Come for the company, stay for the coffee stop (or packed lunch)!

The Essential Ingredients
Speaking of refreshment stops – let’s be honest, they’re rather crucial! Sometimes it’s a coffee shop with a gorgeous sticky bun, sometimes it’s a scenic spot where we break out our packed lunches and flasks. Either way, these stops are where some of the best conversations happen. We always recommend bringing snacks and water on any ramble – you never know when you’ll need that extra energy boost! Add a bit of sunshine, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a brilliant day out.
