Soul Mates — A Weekend Worth Praying For

This Friday and Saturday, 6th and 7th March, something good is happening. Soul Mates — an all island MCI children’s and family event — is taking place, and our own Heather Bailie is right at the heart of it.

Soul Mates is one of those events that quietly does a lot. It brings children, families, leaders and volunteers together in a space that’s genuinely open …open to connection, to wonder, and to the presence of something bigger than any programme or agenda. Heather has been involved in shaping its spiritual content and activities, and that’s no small thing.

We thought this weekend was a good moment to pause and ask you as a member of our church family to hold the whole thing gently in prayer.

🙏 As the weekend unfolds, you might like to pray for…

  • Safety for everyone making the journey and gathering together
  • Real fellowship — the kind that surprises you
  • An openness to the Spirit, in whatever form that takes
  • A fresh sense of how Jesus is alive in and for each person there
  • And a passion to share that news — with everyone, everywhere

It doesn’t need to be a long prayer. Just a thought, a moment, a name held in mind. That’s enough. 🕊️

Meet Heather Bailie

Children & Family Ministry Coordinator

We’re really glad to have Heather worship as part of our congregation here at Mossley. Her work with IMYC focuses on resourcing and training around children’s and family ministry across local churches and circuits — equipping leaders, supporting communities, and helping the Church engage meaningfully with the next generation. Soul Mates sits right at the centre of that.

If you’d like to find out more about the wider work Heather is part of, you can explore resources and find out more at IMYC — Irish Methodist Youth and Children.

Let’s keep praying for Heather and for all those working quietly and faithfully in children’s and family ministry. It matters more than we know. 🌱
