Gift Day total far exceeds expectations

It’s an absolute pleasure to thank everyone who contributed financially to our Harvest Gift Day Service a few weeks ago. As you may be aware it was in aid of the new heating system recently installed in our church at Mossley.
So without further ado I can now invite you to pat yourself on the back at raising a staggering £3000!
This has not only helped alleviate any financial concerns as we continue to pay off the bill, but we really are blessed to see how much the congregation really love their house of worship and genuinely care about each other’s warmth and comfort.
The fund still has a way to go in achieving its full target, but we defiantly have hit the ground running. Thank you all for your continued support.

MEET Ghana 2019 short-term visit World Mission Partnership

Ex-mission partner, Pat Jamison, is travelling to Ghana in the summer of 2019. She’ll be taking a small group to see how the Methodist Church Ghana is growing and serving. There’ll be insights into MCG’s educational, medical (including following up on the 2017 JMA project focus) and community development work. There’ll be church services and visits to GB and BB companies, meetings with the Presiding Bishop and District Bishops and even time for sightseeing. A real taste of Ghana.

Mossley Church Outing – Open Top Bus Tour

I think it’s safe to say that we all really enjoyed our Belfast Sightseeing excursion, and would highly recommend it to anyone, be you a local or visiting from another country. I personally felt that it was lovely feeling like a Tourist for a few hours.

You can see from the photos in the gallery below that we began our morning with tea and scones in the church followed by the arrival of the ‘City Sightseeing Belfast Official Tour Bus’ to whisk us off through Titanic Quarter, City Centre and West Belfast.

Being open top, we were thankful for the dry weather! Our tour guide was very well informed and enlightened us with many a historical fact, whilst keeping it current – my personal favourite was his spin/explanation of the word ‘fleg’

So thank you Christine and her ever loyal team – you know who you are – for all the planning and effort that really paid off. Finally thank you to everyone who came along you all really helped make the day a success.

Full Steam Ahead

Our new church calendar has gotten fully underway, and after the summer break old and new friends are joining us for morning worship, plus building relationships by signing up to clubs and events.

Some of our congregation still have to make it back to us from either being poorly, having to work or happily enjoying the last few weekends at their caravans. Know that you are missed and in our prayers.

Its great to have Alan back leading us in worship. So if you or your neighbour are missing out on his teaching then just follow the LINK below and find September sermons listed on our LISTEN page.
